Mental health of women workers
On average, about 10 percent of
workers in every workplace in the developed world cannot perform their duties
properly due to depression. An average of 36 working days a year is lost due to
depression. But 5 percent of the workers who suffer from depression do not seek
medical care. Many times there is a fear of losing a job if you talk about
mental problems. In many countries, the risk of mental health in the workplace
has been seen among women. However, due to work stress, extra work hours,
anxiety, less time in the family, etc. increases the stress on both men and
women, which reduces efficiency.
Employers and staff need to be
vigilant to make the workplace mental hygiene and ensure mental health of women
workers. If there is no gender discrimination in the workplace, you should look
into it. Appointment of quality staff, emphasis on mental health as well as
mental health, work on relaxation of employees' mind as well as continuing
recreational activities (picnic, tea cycle, etc.) will reduce stress in the
workplace.
Even if the authorities do not come
forward, they can start their own activities. Learn to maintain a transparent
and co-operative relationship with each other in the workplace. For women who
have children, there should be a 'child care center' in the workplace. Whoever
has to celebrate success, failure cannot be repeatedly highlighted or
ridiculed. If you have depression, anxiety or behavioral problems, you should
talk to him about it.
